Megan’s nursing career is an illustration of how one amazing life experience can change the trajectory of your life. Megan graduated from the University of Delaware with her Bachelors of Science in Nursing in 2007. Following graduation she worked in Critical Care/ ICU for 5.5 years. This experience gave her a diverse background and excellent clinical decision making skills. It was her experience with her second pregnancy that propelled her on her journey to be a nurse at The Birth Center. She enjoyed the education and empowerment The Birth Center gave to their patients and knew this is the path she wanted to take with her career.
She then transitioned to working as a nurse on a labor and delivery unit for the next 3.5 years, gaining experience with laboring moms in a hospital setting. Finally the stars aligned and Megan was able to begin at The Birth Center on June 1, 2016.
Megan is excited to begin her journey here and help provide the empowering experience she had, to other pregnant and laboring moms.
Megan has 3 daughters with her husband Michael; Charlotte (hospital birth on July 21, 2008), Georgia (birth center birth on June 8, 2011), and Felicity (birth center birth on April 21, 2014).
When she is not at The Birth Center you can find her hiking, camping, and going to the beach with her family.Contact
