Hypnosis

Peggy Lutes, RN, CH, CHBE, CHFT

Hypnobirthing, Hypnotherapy, Hypnofertility

What is Hypnosis?  HYPNOSIS is a state of mind that is characterized by deep relaxation, heightened imagination, and a high responsiveness to suggestions.  By quieting the conscious mind, the subconscious mind accepts new suggestions for positive change.  When you are deeply relaxed your mind functions more clearly which allows the subconscious to accept suggestions.  In order for hypnosis to be successful the client must want change.  You are ALWAYS in complete control; if you don’t like a suggestion, your subconscious mind will reject it.  No one can make you do anything against your will. You are awake, aware and able to accept or reject any suggestion.  You can emerge from hypnosis at any time. http://www.gentlehealinghypnosis.com/

CranioSacralFascial Therapy (CFT)

Colleen McLaughlin, RN, LMT

Colleen is a former RN at The Birth Center and is thrilled to be back, offering bodywork sessions for babies. Prior to her nursing career, Colleen was a Massage Therapist for over a decade. She has taken her two loves, bodywork and supporting the mom/baby dyad, and is now a CranioSacralFascial Therapist for infants through adults.

CranioSacralFascial Therapy (CFT) is a gentle non-invasive bodywork therapy that helps to relieve some common newborn issues such as; nursing challenges, colic/reflux/constipation, birth trauma, torticollis, chronic ear infections, and more, by aiding in the release of tight areas of the body.  Tight babies are unhappy babies, loose babies are happy babies. When our body is loose it works better. Colleen experienced the benefits of this therapy with her own child and feels so blessed to be able to offer it to others.

Colleen is a Delaware and Pennsylvania State licensed Massage Therapist with 20+ years of experience. When she isn’t working, she is enjoying her time with the loves of her life, her husband and two young boys.
