October is the month that is all about pumpkin spice and everything nice. Flannels are being worn more than they were in September. The air is beginning to take on a chilly crispness as people stroll through fall festivals. Autumn is truly stunning because of the vibrant colors on the trees. I love the fall because you can be outdoors and breathe the fresh, chilled air while going to craft fairs, nature parks, and festivals. In the fall, you can wear cute outfits with the fall aesthetic, such as short boots, flannel attire, leggings, and over-the-shoulder hanging sweaters. You can also wear shirts that have pumpkins, leaves, and funny fall sayings such as “Give ’em Pumpkin to Talk About” or “Stay Spooky.” These are just two funny fall shirts, but many more are out there.

I like the fall because of the activities I get to do with my family. Every October, we go to Linvilla Orchards with my 3-year-old nephew and 2-year-old niece to take them on a hayride to the “witchs house” where they get delicious sugar cookies and can make smores. If you have never been to Linvilla Orchards, I recommend going because it is a tiny and cute farm. It has farm animals that you can feed, two playgrounds for kids of all ages, a farmers market, pumpkin land, pick your own fruits, and many more fun things to do. We love taking the kids here because I grew up going there, and I remembered how much I loved it. I still love going to it because it reminds me of my childhood, and they have the best warm apple cider doughnuts.

Here is a list of fun things to do this fall with your family!

Things to do if you love a good scare
