About Wave of Light

Hank’s Hope Inc. will be hosting the second annual Wave of Light. The Wave of Light is a way to join communities together on October 15, which is Pregnancy & Infant Loss Awareness Day. People all over the world light a candle in memory at 7pm local time, creating a wave of light around the world.
This will be held at the Delaware Center for Horticulture on Tuesday, October 15th. We will have a remembrance ceremony, followed by a celebration of hope. All ages 13 and over are welcome. The event is free, but pre-registration is required. Email HanksHope@gmail.com for more info.

About Hank’s Hope

Hank’s Hope was founded as a 501c3 nonprofit organization in 2015 by Anne Mathay in memory of her son. Henry “Hank” Shaffer Mathay was stillborn to Anne and her husband Noah in October 2012. Hank’s Hope is an all-volunteer organization that provides resources and support to women and their families who have experienced a pregnancy or infant loss. We work with hospitals, grief groups, and healthcare providers statewide. We also offer a peer to peer support group on the second Monday of each month in North Wilmington.
