What is The Birth Center difference? We went straight to our mamas on Facebook to hear what they had to say!

  • “Whole woman care.” ~ Kate
  • “A whole team who’s in it for YOU, who will support YOU every step of the way to help you achieve YOUR goals.” ~ Randy
  • “Freedom.” ~ Rebecca
  • “I always felt like I was cared about as a person; I wasn’t just another pregnant body!” ~ Ki
  • “The relationship you form with wonderful midwives who view you as a person rather than a paycheck. Each decision is talked about and decided on carefully together. I felt like my feelings and input were very important.” ~ Kaili
  • “Natural!!” ~ Lana
  • “Evidence-based birth not centered around a provider’s schedule!” ~ Alexa
  • “Knowledge and empowerment.” ~Jackie
  • “Human caring, not box checking.” ~ Donella
  • “Personal relationships (it’s almost sad when the baby is born and we don’t get to come all the time anymore), time (as opposed to trying to get us in and out quickly), knowledge, more relaxed atmosphere, able to go home instead of staying for 2 days, nurses who come to you afterwards, availability to answer questions whenever, knowing that the nurses and midwives have your best interest in mind and know what needs to be done when (even if it means more medical interventions).” ~ Mary
  • “Empowerment.” ~ Rebecca
  • “They don’t treat pregnancy like a disease that needs to be cured. It’s a loving, caring atmosphere which makes it less stressful for mom & baby.” ~ AnneMarie
  • “Empowerment, personalized care, and family oriented.” ~ Jissell
  • “You truly care about the whole woman and make her the highest priority. Coming to The Birth Center feels like coming home. It’s a place you can openly discuss opinions and concerns without feeling judged. The Birth Center is a place of empowerment, caring, love, and joy.” ~ Karen
  • “Personal connection.” ~ Sarah
  • “Providers who care about your body AND your mind. My nether regions may be in top shape, but the brain and heart matter too. The Birth Center staff understand this better than any primary care physician I’ve gone to in my 29 years.” ~ Susanna
  • “The mother’s way is heard and followed. The Birth Center difference is that they stand by and allow for birthing to happen as it should. Rather than intervening and meddling in the natural process.” ~ Jacqueline
  • “Family.” ~ Dorothy
  • “Time and attention.” ~ Weetly
  • “For me, the reason I chose TBC was that I wanted to be respected and listened to by my provider. I wanted a birth space that made me feel safe and supported. I wanted midwives who thought my body was as strong as capable as I did. It was about feeling empowered, educated and respected as a woman and soon to be mother. ” ~ Alexis
  • “TBC feels like family, is homey, moms have a quick return home, and there is no pressure to use pain meds.” ~ Michelle
  • “The respect and care given. The way they continue to keep the mom and family informed while making all our options clear to us throughout the whole process. It’s empowering.” ~ Noel
  • “Family… I wasn’t a pregnant object where everything was about our baby. I was treated with love compassion and respect. The family environment where my children, family, and friends could be there and labor with me comfortably.” ~ Stephanie
  • “Preparation, compassion, choice, options, comfort, support, resources.” ~ Sara
  • “It’s a community.” ~ Gena
  • “Compassion. The whole team feels personally invested in the well being of myself and my baby .” ~ Ariel
  • “It’s a Family. The support you get.” ~ Melissa
  • “Encouragement, respect, knowledge, empowerment.” ~ Stacy
