Happy Mother’s Day Mamas!
You are truly amazing.
You give.
You help.
You guide.
You love.
You deserve this day of celebration. Take advantage of it! Whether it is on actual mother’s day or maybe another day close to it, you should take a day this month to do something extra special for YOU. Take self-care to the next level and treat yourself or have your partner treat you!
And do not feel guilty! Remember, happy parents raise happy kids. Your self-care provides a positive example to your children and is healthy for you and your relationship with your partner and children.
Ideas:
- Massage
- Yoga or Exercise Class (Do something special you do not usually do. Even better… sign up for a series or pass so you make it a habit!)
- Plan a day out (with or without the family – your preference). Mom chooses what to do, where to go, where to eat, etc.
- Have a spa day.
- Get a babysitter and have a date night or day with your partner
- Have a few hours or day at home while your partner takes the kids out of the house! (Do not clean, work, or do chores during this time!)
These are just a few ideas. Every mama is different and will have a different idea of what is enjoyable. So take the time to think about what makes you happy and what self-care looks like to you. Make a plan and make it happen. I hope you have a lovely Mother’s Day!
