“Integrative medicine is not simply about learning to use new treatment options. It is a different way of being with the patient.” ~ Dr. Victoria Maizes
The new integrative health center will be a unique resource dedicated to helping women improve their quality of life through complementary and alternative medicine (CAM). You don’t have to wait until we open the new center to take advantage of the different offerings. In the next few months, we will be bringing practitioners aboard to support you in achieving your wellness goals.
Our experienced practitioners will specialize in a wide range of therapies that include stress management, acupuncture, massage therapy, breath work, and more. These high-quality services are integrated into personalized treatment plans that are designed to heal and strengthen the mind, body, spirit, and emotional needs of each individual.
How Does it Work?
Every woman who comes to us has her own story, she may have a professional life, a family life, personal dreams, and goals. She’s a mother, a sister, a daughter, a wife. She may be single, she may be a teen coming in for her first well women visit, or a grandmother who is postmenopausal; yet we know that keeping it all together can be a challenge.
At the Birth Center we are witnesses to the challenges and triumphs of life and we have the privilege of facilitating health and wholeness. The root of the word health comes from Old English, “hal” and evolved into 3 words “health,” “whole,” and “holy.” The word then expanded to mean “prosperity, happiness, welfare, preservation, and safety.” The World Health Organization defines health as; “not only the absence of infirmity and disease but also a state of physical, mental and social well-being.” It is our intention to preserve the integrity of our care by continuing to do what we do and offer information about options that support the patient’s well-being in new and exciting ways.
