Barbara Bason earned a BA in Biology and a BS in Medical Technology from the University of Delaware. She was a provider of postpartum services for the Birth Center in its initial postpartum program.

Barbara says, ” My introduction to Bowen therapy happened as a result of a car accident. I tried every therapy known to me for my muscular skeletal pain and imbalance, with little help, until an acquaintance offered me a Bowen treatment. It was the first therapy that made a significant difference. I knew right then that this was a holistic healing system that I wanted to learn. I had recently retired from my perinatal practice to begin a practice in homeopathy and Bowen allowed me the opportunity to provide healing through the physical body that would balance the whole person. When my Bowen teachers discovered I practiced Homeopathy, they exclaimed how complementary Bowen is to homeopathy - it is often called the homeopathy of body work.”

Barbara is a certified advanced practitioner through The Bowen Therapy Academy of Australia and The Bowenwork Academy USA. She holds hold a certificate in animal Bowen therapy, as well. Barbara sees people by appointment in the 3rd floor office of the Birth Center.
You may call her for more information and for an appointment at 302.322.1077 or email her at barbpract@aol.com.

Homeopathy is a system of medicine that uses tiny, dilute amounts of a natural medicine individually and precisely matched to the person and her / his symptoms of suffering. Homeopathy seeks to get to the root cause of the person’s illness, allowing a gentle, permanent cure over time. Homeopathy does this by stimulating the individual’s self- healing mechanisms. Homeopathic medicine is effective in treating people with a variety of problems including injuries, acute illness, and chronic illness. Hypnosis

Peggy Lutes RN, CH, HBCE

peggy@TheBirthCenter.com

  • Hypnobirthing
  • Hypnotherapy
  • Hypnofertility

What is Hypnosis?

HYPNOSIS is a state of mind that is characterized by deep relaxation, heightened imagination and a high responsiveness to suggestions.

By quieting the conscious mind, the subconscious mind accepts new suggestions for positive change.

When you are relaxed deeply your mind functions more clearly which allows the subconscious to accept suggestions.

In order for hypnosis to be successful the client must want change.

You are ALWAYS in complete control; if you don’t like a suggestion your subconscious mind will reject it.

No one can make you do anything against your will. You are awake, aware and able to accept or reject any suggestion.  You can emerge from hypnosis at any time.
